For actors, acting teachers & theater makers who want to practically explore a Michael Chekhov- inspired approach to rehearsing & performing.
When & Where
July 8-26, 2019. – The Michael Chekhov School is located in the historic City of Hudson (NY), two hours from New York City. Hudson is accessible by train (Amtrak); the closest airports are Albany (NY) and all NYC airports.
9:30 – 12:30 Morning Session
12:30 – 2:30 Lunch
2:30 – 5:30 Afternoon Session
The Michael Chekhov School is hosting this 3-week summer workshop for participants
* who have trained as / or are working as actor / director / filmmaker / teacher / creative
* who are looking to develop their working knowledge of Michael Chekhov’s Technique
* who desire to work with their own specific artistic questions in a collaborative atmosphere on rehearsing & performing dramatic material

Our core faculty includes Fern Sloan & Ted Pugh who are bringing their experience of more than 40 years with the Michael Chekhov work to this course and Ragnar Freidank, acting teacher, film director & co-artistic director for the DVD series Master Classes in the Michael Chekhov Technique.
Accommodations can be found through airbnb. A list of some area motels & B&Bs can be found here. If you will not have a car, you will want to arrange for housing within walking distance to our work space: 360 Warren Street, Hudson, NY.
While no childcare is provided by the Michael Chekhov School, the nearby local Hawthorne Valley Waldorf School & Farm is offering a Day Camp / Overnight Camp:
