The Michael Chekhov School is an initiative of The Actors’ Ensemble of Columbia County,  a 501 (c)(3) not for profit organization. The Actors’ Ensemble is a company of actors, dedicated to Michael Chekhov’s legacy through research, teaching, and performance.

We are actively looking for ways to make Michael Chekhov’s approach more widely available to actors from diverse communities, who otherwise might not be able to attend a program such as the Michael Chekhov School. To that end, we wish to offer one scholarship for our 5-Week Immersion.

The recipient
* participates in our course for a substantially reduced fee, which includes housing
* offers a free workshop for the community close to them, upon return from this program
* creates a brief documentation of their free workshop by way of quotes / images / poems / a narrative / a letter/ or the like, to be shared with the wider community.
