The Program
A ten-day summer workshop for actors, directors filmmakers, teachers, students, creatives … – who desire to work in a collaborative atmosphere:
* to expand your practical understanding of Michael Chekhov’s Acting Technique & vocabulary
* to learn from Ted Pugh & Fern Sloan, who worked directly with M. Chekhov’s personal students
* to develop trust in your own intuitive approach to material & character in sessions with Ragnar

The Michael Chekhov School is located in the historic City of Hudson (NY), 2 hours from New York City, accessible by train (Amtrak); the closest airports are Albany (NY) & all NYC airports.

Daily Schedule
9:30 – 12:30 Morning Session
12:30 – 2:30 Lunch
2:30 – 5:30 Afternoon Session

Faculty
Our core faculty includes Fern Sloan & Ted Pugh who are bringing their experience of more than 40 years with the Michael Chekhov work to this course and Ragnar Freidank, acting teacher, award winning film director & co-artistic director for the acclaimed DVD series Master Classes in the Michael Chekhov Technique. All or faculty are also teaching for MICHA, the Michael Chekhov Association.

Housing
Accommodations may be available at Barry Butterfield’s B&B in Hudson, walking distance from our work-space, or through other locals B&Bs, hotels and airbnb. If you will not bring a car, you want to arrange for housing within walking distance to our work space: 360 Warren Street, Hudson, NY.

Camping
Nearby possibilities include Fox Hill Camping (518-392-3714) in Spencertown (NY), or at the nearby Lake Taghkanic State Park  & Copake Falls, all driving-distance from Hudson.
